With approximately two thousand kilometers of coastline, Sardinia is the next stop on this list. This gorgeous island is located in the Mediterranean sea, off the coast of Italy, and is capable of housing plenty of residents and visitors due to its large size. Sardinia, however, is unique due to its significant amount of Nuraghe located sporadically around the island. Nuraghe is a collection of mini stone fortress ruins which are remains from the once prominent Nuragic civilization which inhabited the island circa 1900 - 730 BC. With such a rich history, plenty of sight-seeing and, of course, exquisite sandy beaches, Sardinia is a definite chart-topper on this list.Following the beauty of Sardinia is tricky, but the next stop on the docket just may be able to do the trick.
