For those who have always wanted to experience the inside of a castle, this next destination is for them, although it may not be what one would expect. Near the Kemi, city center is a truly incredible structure called the Snow Castle, and for a good reason. Kemi Snow Castle is constructed strictly of snow and ice from seawater and is an impressive feat of architecture and construction. Currently operating from late January to April, this building is capable of holding many, especially with the extraordinary dining experience available which may seat up to two hundred guests at once, and has been used for memorable wedding ceremonies. Beginning in 1996 and lasting until the present day, this tradition is a gift to the children of the world, and carries a new theme each year, with 2018 being an Animal Wonderland and the goal of being a permanent year-round structure by the end of the year. Seeing the impressive Snow Castle in Finland is incredible, there is no other way to describe it. However, the following slide offers a site most tourists mark as the most important stop during their time with the Finnish.
