The last stop on the list for those visiting Finland to check out would be the wondrous Rovaniemi, capital of northern Lapland. Reason for such interest in this destination is due to its incredible history. Most land here was destroyed back in the second world war, which required intense reconstruction afterward, but also lots of opportunities. Considered the official home of Santa Claus, there is incredible architecture here and a museum of science to learn. Opportunities to see reindeer and indulge in the delicious treats here are other big draws for families looking to give their children or significant others a magical Christmas experience.
