Known as a religious pinnacle of the Catholic church, the Sistine Chapel is, by far, on the most valuable places for Catholics across the globe. Constructed with renaissance architecture, visitors are sure to experience the rich history of this gem in Vatican City. Interestingly, the Sistine Chapel was designed specifically without doorways such that the entrance would come only from the papal palace. With a rectangular structure, there is much to marvel at inside including the infamous ceiling painting by Michelangelo, which portrays three themes; God's creation of the world, God's relationship with mankind, and mankind’s fall from grace. With such a spiritual influence on the world, the Sistine Chapel is a perfect segway for the next building on the list.
